Examination

The institution follows an academic calendar. The students are evaluated on a continuous basis during the practical turns by conducting regular assessment and during the theory classes by conducting class tests. One sessional examination (Periodic test) is held for every semester for the purpose of internal assessment. These marks are included in the final result where periodic test marks are added to the semester examination marks.

The periodic test marks are also used as indicators of the students’ performance. A candidate failing in any of the University Semester examinations has a chance to improve sessional marks by appearing for improvement tests. Discipline and high academic standards are ensured by periodic attendance monitoring leading to counseling of the defaulting students in presence of their parents/ guardians. As per University of Mumbai guidelines equal marks (5+5) are assigned for regular assessment and periodic practical exam.
